Job Description:
We are looking for a full-time Extraction Director to join our team in Missouri!
The Extraction Director is responsible for managing and overseeing all chemistry-related projects and will report to and work closely with senior management. In addition, an Extraction Director will oversee laboratory experiments to isolate biological active compounds from plants and then further characterize these compounds, in which a variety of different extraction techniques will be used to optimize extraction of active components from plant tissue samples. Extraction techniques could include, but are not limited to, supercritical fluid extraction, steam distillation, traditional solvent-based extraction, and chromatography-based approaches.
Job Requirements:
-7+ years as an Extraction Director or similar position
-Ph.D. in Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or comparable chemistry field
-Experience as an effective project team leader
-Strong analytical chemistry background with an understanding of various analytical techniques
-Experience with short path distillation, winterization, and fractional distillation also required
