Job Description:

Next Big Crop is a cannabis consulting firm that specializes in the design, build and management of cultivation facilities, processing laboratories, and dispensaries throughout the country. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering every project on time within budget and scope and creating and preparing budgets, quotes and bids. This position requires frequent travel to sites located throughout the United States.

Responsibilities-

  • Project Management –
    • Coordinate internal resources and sub-contractors for the execution of projects on a national level
    • Acquire quotes from sub-contractors and vendors
    • Manages sub-contractors by locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
    • Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.
    • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information.
    • Report and escalate to management as needed
    • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Compliance
    • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
    • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
    • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards within construction and cannabis industries

Qualifications-

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in construction management
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction or project management or related field
  • Ability to frequently travel and stay on-site for 2-3 weeks per month
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC
  • Experience in creating and adhering to budgets, bidding and quoting
  • Experience in managing $1,000,000+ projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
