Controller

Medical Cannabis distribution company located in the Oakland, CA area is currently seeking an experienced Controller to manage the daily accounting functions of the organization. Company was recently acquired by a publicly traded company. Potential to work remotely from home. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (MBA & CPA preferred)
• Quickbooks software experience helpful
• Wine & Spirits or Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Must be comfortable in a less structured environment

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Financial Reports
• Month-end, Year-end close
• Journal Entries
• Cash Management
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Budget/Forecast preparation and review
