Puyallup Tribal Cannabis Enterprises, Inc. (PTCE) is a for-profit corporation chartered under Puyallup Tribally owned entirely by the Tribe. PTCE manages and operates all of the Tribe’s cannabis-related businesses which currently includes its Retail Store, Commencement Bay Cannabis, and Testing Lab, Medicine Creek Analytics.
We’re presently recruiting for an experienced Corporate Controller who will:
Serve as the head of Finance and will be responsible for all finance and accounting activities such as:
Oversees the day-to-day fiscal management of businesses: maintain accounting system and record keeping, reconcile monthly activity, prepare monthly and yearly financial statements. Prepares reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
Manages working capital, daily cash flow, and check disbursements. Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and planning process, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL: Be at least 21 years of age and HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting or related field
5 years of demonstrated accounting and business experience performing the duties and responsibilities identified in this job description is required.
CPA License required
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated strong knowledge of GAAP
Intermediate to Expert level of experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and QuickBooks
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to be collaborative and a team player;
Demonstrated budget development and oversight experience;
Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace;
Knowledge of tax and other compliance implications;
Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to identify issues and resolve challenges.
Retail experience, preferably in Cannabis
