WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a talented operator to lead our team working across our suite of world-class cannabis brands on strategic partnerships and licensing. With responsibilities ranging from business strategy, planning and execution, to negotiation and development of strategic partnerships, and day-to-day management - the ideal candidate is entrepreneurial and passionate about both the bigger picture and developing and operating a new business unit from inception to steady-state. With our brands spanning multiple cannabis product lines, from edibles, inhalables, beverages, body care, and innovative technology, you will need to be aware of market, product, cultural and business trends in the world of cannabis and work to secure our company’s relevance for global audiences. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Responsible for day-to-day leadership management and driving the company to achieve and surpass business goals, profitability projections.
  • Partner with executive leadership to execute a strategic plan for the division that leverages the brand identities, is aligned with Licensor vision to maximize market opportunities, grow sales and increase profit.
  • Initiate and drive product development process, from conception to delivery, of fresh, trend-setting and competitive products which delivers strong internal margins.
  • Plan, structure and negotiate a variety of business agreements and licensing partnerships for our suite of world-class brands; - address any strategic gaps, develop solutions and pursue meaningful opportunities
  • Lead the development and execution of global strategies for the sublicensing of existing portfolio properties and products; commitment to portfolio growth across a broad spectrum of product categories and technologies (R&D, internal creation and acquisition).
  • Oversee forecasting and modeling to maximize revenue from existing licensee partnerships, negotiate and execute new license agreements to achieve strategic objectives, and identify new markets and channels for future opportunities.
  • Ability to comfortably and authentically present the company, its objectives, expertise and product offerings publicly, to potential partners, future licensees and other business relationships.
  • Exemplary organizational and leadership abilities, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and staff management.
  • Oversee team responsible for managing licensee product approval processes, ensuring contract adherence by all licensees
  • Develop strategies and tactics for digital media and marketing programs to establish platforms that drive relevance of represented properties, while ideally generating incremental revenue
  • Work with internal and external legal teams to manage, protect and exploit IP portfolio (trademark, design rights and patents).
ABOUT YOU
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience as senior leader in omni-channel licensing, food, beverage or CPG industries. Cannabis business experience a plus.
  • 5 years+ of relevant consumer goods brand licensing or brand partnership management experience and a deep understanding of the IP and licensing process at a global level.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in negotiating and closing durable licensing and/or partnership agreements with partners.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in not only developing and executing both business and product strategy but also generating associated financial models for stakeholder consideration
  • Previous P&L responsibility leading a business unit or division of a company.
  • A passion for product, brand development and lifestyle experiences in the world of consumer-packaged goods.
  • Ability and passion for working across a suite of brands in a highly dynamic, fast moving and high growth environment.
