Position Summary:
The Laboratory Support Associate is an on-call to full-time, temporary position needed through the spring/summer of 2018. This position requires initial training followed by independent work and time management capabilities. You will be performing routine tasks to support the work of the laboratory team during our high volume testing season. You will also play an integral role in preparing the laboratory to move to a new location. The ideal candidate will be action oriented, flexible, and able to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine methods to collect, receive and process laboratory samples

Evaluate incoming specimen shipments for integrity, condition and accurate documentation

Building and maintaining product inventory for our test kits, receiving and intaking samples, shipping/receiving packages

Assist in packing and moving supplies to separate facility

General laboratory support activities such as daily restocking of laboratory supplies, cleaning, and disinfecting of lab bench areas and hoods

Qualifications:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some late evenings and weekends

Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods

Able to lift up to 25lbs minimum

Able to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, at close proximity to others.

Ability to understand and follow site protocols, policies and procedures with exactness.

Must be flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently

Tech-savvy computer skills including Google Docs and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

High School Diploma minimum / GED. Laboratory and pipetting experience is a plus, but not required
