Processing Chemist, full-time, Monday to Friday, extended hours may be required, Compensation: DOE.
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible to perform chemical and physical processing of oil extract solutions. General knowledge of bench chemistry, chromatography and chemical reaction for in-process remediation. the aim of this position to follow a newly validated method for the removal of pesticides from the oil mixtures.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Perform an in-process chemical analysis that involves base and acid type reaction with a general understanding in the application of pH, pKa, partition coefficients and solubility calculations.
2) Performing general chromatography process that is applicable to montmorillonite, silica and alumina.
3) Providing basic chemical understanding of in-process validation and cGMP practices.
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or in Biochem
All employees must successfully complete a criminal record and drug screening check, Live-Scan or FBI Fingerprints requirements, and must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
