POSITION SUMMARY:
The Production Technician I provides on-site support for the production of Silver State Wellness medically infused-products. Persons in this role complete tasks assigned by the Production Manager or Production Supervisor to monitor and maintain the organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area. The Production Technician I completes day-to-day tasks including prepping, measuring, mixing, baking, and packaging and adheres to quality control measures to ensure high quality products.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS:
- 2 + years of experience in a production environment, preferably in a regulated field producing for human consumption.
- 2-year degree in the culinary, manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis laws, medicinal benefits, and food production skills.
- Superior time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or product up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment.
- Proficiency in windows-based software and point of sale applications.
CORE JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for the preparation of our infused product line through the measuring, mixing, and processing of product in accordance with the state standards and company SOP’s.
- Ensure proper handing, packaging, labeling and storage of all products, materials, supplies and equipment.
- Ensure consistency and efficacy of product through quality control testing.
- Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe production facility.
- Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc.
- Complete the sanitation of all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, cookware, and appliances.
- Assist with the creation of batch production records and labels.
- Assist with weighing, packaging, labeling, and documentation of all products, as well as the tracking of batch numbers, lot numbers, and expiration dates.
- Additional duties as required.
