SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

Breeze Botanicals Store Managers are the face of the company in their communities. The store manager must interface with management, staff, law enforcement, media, vendors and the landlord. The main responsibility of the store manager is to coordinate and facilitate the transactions of the store. They must maintain records, maintain contact with the dispensaries preferred producers and processors, embrace customer education and understand marketing. They are responsible for embracing and educating staff regarding new corporate policies, providing bidirectional feedback between staff and the business office. They are responsible for keeping up with all the changes in local and state law regarding operation of the facility. If an unexpected visit is made by regulators, including the OLCC, the manager is responsible for answering questions during an inspection with support from the business office. The most important job of the store manager is to ensure that only the best and safest quality herbs are available at the store and keep the organization compliant.

The Breeze Botanicals Inventory Management role works to identify the inventory needs of the organization based on consumer trends, competition and novel production introduction; identify vendors that align with the companies vision through an established vetting process and negotiate terms; manage proper intake and follow all established intake procedures; work to breakdown bulk herb and make products as needed; coordinate POS marketing, sales, campaigns and sell-through strategies along with company brand marketing support to move product; manage damaged products and returns with vendors.

This position, comprised of both roles, reports to the operations manager and upper management.

MAIN PURPOSE

  • To oversee and be responsible for all herbs dispensed, ensuring accuracy in labeling and record keeping;
  • To assume financial control and responsibility for the dispensaries efficiency
  • To provide supervisory assistance and training for all employees in management training program, and
  • To adhere to the strictest confidentiality when handling medical records and other information pertaining to customers and staff.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

ESSENTIAL PURCHASING JOB DUTIES

  • Research, track, and establish need for new products within the Breeze stores, including forecasting of product needs.
  • Monitor purchasing trends and consumer demand for products at the Breeze stores and assist Sun God in understanding marketplace from a consumer demand standpoint.
  • Liaison between BDS analytics. Report to CEO, Brand Manager, and Operation Manager.
  • Work with management of stores to identify product mix and needs.
  • Identify, qualify, establish, and maintain OLCC licensed cannabis vendor relationships.
  • Identify, establish and maintain with the business office relationships with retail accessory/gift shop vendors
  • Negotiate/apply for favorable terms in conjunction with the business office.
  • Help coordinate deliveries, proper receiving, manage purchase orders from internal departments in conjunction with business office.
  • Interface with various locations and step into daily management of stores as needed.

  • Maintain and apply store policies and seek to uphold standards
  • Discuss store policies with other members of the team and seek to implement new services and quality standards where appropriate; and
  • Participate in audit when required.
  • Enhances store and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties may vary under the direction of Ownership depending on workload and staffing levels and may include the following:

  • Managing all store staff members including reviews, payroll, and staff cover when required
  • Develop monthly schedule for individual store in concert with other store managers, share mobile staff and management traninies where appropriate.
  • Identify needs for recruitment and training of both new and existing staff and communicate, in writing, with management and human resource personal needs and development;
  • Review salaries, write appraisals and discipline store staff when required, including appropriate documentation of issues and concerns
  • Attend and contribute to regular management meetings; arrive ready to make strategic contributions to discussions
  • Regularly check the market for fluctuations in price, as well as the research for new or discontinued strains, products, etc., Document competitive landscape in company forms.
  • Make local contacts, build the brand within the community, work with vendors to ensure store products needs are met, and work with marketing department to drive local marketing and special promotions.
  • Community outreach to contact within the cannabis, herbal medicine, and retail community
  • Follow up changes to product prices, categories and availability with supplier representatives
  • Research and analyze competitors; report observed changes in prices, operations, policies at competitors to appropriate levels of management.
  • Maintaining POS system and keeping inventory under control; submit accurate POS card information in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining stock levels within the store, set reorder points, and conduct reordering when necessary
  • Check inventory for expiration dates, as well maintaining adequate stock control and rotation with suppliers and/or internal grow facility;
  • Take responsibility for invoices, payment and statements per direction from management
  • Submit accurate and fully documented transactions to the business office.
  • Performing monthly, quarterly and annual sales reviews and provide suggestions for improvement to Ownership;
  • Oversee accuracy and efficiency of dispensing staff; work with staff on documenting Continuous Improvement of processes to drive increased efficiency;
  • Work with administrative staff to ensure that all relevant paperwork, including batch and customer records are maintained per OLCC
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with management and OLCC. Preparation and submission of all required documents as requested by management;
  • Handling returned products, complaints and praise from customers as allowed by policy;
  • Maintaining safe and hygienic work surfaces within the dispensing with regular cleaning and ensuring all equipment is in a good state of repair, and
  • Running a safe working environment free from hazards, maintaining familiarity with OLCC Rules & Regulations.
  • Act as final check and individual responsible for store records, compliance documents and accounting paperwork.
  • Reviews and maintains security camera data and system ensuring compliance with OLCC regulations. Acts as point person for all maintenance and regulatory issues.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Participate in any training program deemed appropriate by the Ownership, which may include:

  • An annual individual performance review, to include the contribution a record of own personal and professional development and discussing targets for the future
  • Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills to other members of staff when required;
  • Attending any external training course thought appropriate to the role.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear people in a variety of environments. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 40 pounds. Occasional ladder and step stool use is required to access shelving and storage locations.

Travel

Travel is limited within the position. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary to service/monitor remote locations, attend conferences or trainings.
