We are currently seeking a Senior Video Editor / Content Creator to work on our Media Team at our headquarters in Seattle, WA.
What You Will Be Doing:
The Senior Video Editor / Content Creator works with the Director of Media Development and production team to create, execute and deliver editorial, branded, social and innovative video content. Candidate possesses a solid technical background in video production and editing and a strong understanding of digital formats.
This role will have a strong focus on telling brand stories across multiple platforms for a range of subjects and requires strong understanding of visual storytelling, creative mixing and the ability to create content at scale. The candidate also possesses unmatched work ethic, and a desire to be a key player in one of the country’s fastest-growing industries.
Responsibilities:
- Work with video producers, shooters, editors, and animators to create entertaining, shareable and exciting short-to-mid-form content.
- Work with sponsors from within and outside the cannabis industry, developing custom content that seamlessly fits Leafly’s voice and brand guidelines while simultaneously catering to sponsor interests.
- Manage their own travel logistics, adhere to shoot schedules and maintain equipment and media while traveling.
- Manage and maintain post-production workflows, server infrastructure, cameras and lighting equipment.
- Ensure consistent quality across all final deliverables.
- Manage digital uploads into content management system.
Qualifications:
- Five years’ experience as a video editor at an agency or post production studio.
- Expert in Adobe Premier and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficient in creating graphics packages, audio mixing and color correction
- Technically proficient in a variety of camera formats and video codecs
- Experience creating storyboards, providing shot lists, interview questions and communicating with freelance crews
- Experience turning brand stories into engaging content across a range of topics and geared toward different audiences.
- Be highly-organized and highly-dedicated employee who is interested in working in one of the fastest-growing areas of our business.
- Must be able to demonstrate an aptitude for juggling several projects at different stages of development.
