VP of Business Intelligence

MedMen is looking for a seasoned VP of Business Intelligence professional to consolidate all analysts, analytical processes, and reporting into a new Business Intelligence Unit. The VP of Business intelligence will build out the core reporting functions across the organization and standardize the way KPIs and metrics are delivered to executives and teams across the organization, establishing processes and implementing best practices to elevate our analytics and reporting accuracy and efficiency. This is a rare opportunity to join a leader in the cannabis industry in a role that can be shaped and defined.

As the leader of the Business Intelligence team, responsibilities will include:

Build and manage a team of data analysts who service various business units
Establishing a BI competency center or center of excellence (BICC or BI COE)
Consolidating data analytics throughout the company and establishing best practices for processes and report generation
Overseeing reporting, analytics, data exploration and preparation
Maintaining data integrity and transparency to increase data confidence across all business units that rely upon web data
Optimizing data warehousing for efficient reporting
Establishing management dashboards to provide actionable and timely business insights
Managing metadata strategy
Implementing GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) aspects of BI and data management

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience designing and building KPI dashboards for various internal constituents
Experience with Microsoft NAV or comparable ERP systems
Intimately familiar with basic and advanced web analytics collection and reporting including custom event tracking
Experience working with the raw data from Google Analytics (GA) in BigQuery and other reporting software (e.g., Power BI)
Experience in and understanding of a wide variety of analytical processes (governance, measurement, etc.).
Up to date on key BI trends
Proven ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results
Extensive experience interacting with C-level executives
Experience managing cross-department BI projects and teams
Pro-activity in sharing data and potential challenges across departments
Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations
Strong leadership skills within the project team and in the business community
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
